Goals:
• Notice and respond to interpersonal, institutional and cultural racism.
• Explore your personal relationship to race.
• Improve relationships and collaboration across race to support social justice efforts.
Attendance:
The series is 10-weeks, and each session is about 2 hours. A strong commitment to attendance is required. The first and last sessions are mandatory, and we ask you not to miss more than 2 sessions.
Format:
Participants explore concepts from a chapter of the book each week, with relevant scenarios to consider and practice. The curriculum is designed by the author, Shelly Tochluk, and a multiracial review team.
Cost:
There is no cost to participate locally. This is personal, internal work. To honor that work, we ask that you make external actions: support local organizations that are lead by and benefit communities of color. Over time, consistently and tangibly provide support with money, voice, presence, etc.
